I went to work this morning as usual, but about 9:30 a.m. the pastor came in and asked me if I had the bulletin for Sunday done. When I told him yes, he said for me to go ahead and take the rest of the day off. I don’t have to go back to work until Monday, so that will be a nice break.
Sis and I went to Wal-Mart and got a few things, then stopped at IHOP and had lunch. They had a delicious potato soup with cheese, and we each had a bowl with a sandwich and coffee.
This afternoon we cleaned house and cooked for tomorrow. Sis made pumpkin and rhubarb pies, and I made cranberry salad. I’ll put the turkey in the oven early tomorrow morning. I like to roast it in a Reynolds oven bag. It turns out so tender and moist. We plan to also have stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, and lettuce salad.
I’ll drive over and pick up our friend in the morning and take her home later in the afternoon before the cold front gets here.
It got up to 83 degrees by 4:00 this afternoon, but late tomorrow afternoon a cold front is expected to come through and it will certainly feel a lot different than today.
I’ve gotten back into knitting lately after years of not doing it at all. Right now I am working on smaller projects, like Christmas tree ornaments.
